Mário Pinto
Mário Fernando de Campos Pinto was born on January the 16th, 1931, in Torre de Moncorvo, Portugal. He is a Professor at Universidade Católica Portuguesa. He was a member of the Constitutional Assembly (for PPD—Partido Popular Democrático) and was later elected Member of Parliament for the same Party in the elections held on the 25th of April, 1976. Among other appointments, Mário Pinto was Ministro da República (Republic Minister) for the Autonomous Region of Azores, the first civilian ever to hold this office. He specialises in Labour Law and is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Human Sciences in Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
