Published on the occasion of Patti Smith's exhibition at the Cartier Foundation in Paris, here are three books devoted to her artistic world, combined in a set entitled Trois.

Charleville encompasses Smith's texts, drawings, and photographs revolving around the figure of Arthur Rimbaud and collected over a period of almost forty years. Photographies showcases her photographs of sculptures taken between 2002 and 2008 and accompanied by her poems. Cahier is a notebook inspired by those belonging to Patti Smith. The first pages are filled with her handwriting and the rest is left to the reader's personal use.

The set perfectly reflects Patti Smith's long-standing interest in literature, photography, and all kinds of artistic expression. 150 illustrations.

Patti Smith é escritora e artista musical e visual. Começou a ser reconhecida durante os anos 1970 pela fusão revolucionária de rock’n’roll e poesia do seu trabalho. O disco seminal, intitulado Horses, mostrando na capa a célebre fotografia tirada por Robert Mapplethorpe, foi aclamado como um dos cem melhores álbuns de sempre. Patti Smith gravou onze álbuns. Os seus desenhos foram expostos no Gotham Book Mart, em 1973, e pelo Andy Warhol Museum, em 2002. Foram também alvo de uma mostra, juntamente com fotografias e instalações da sua autoria, na Fondation Cartier pour l’Art Contemporain em Paris, em 2008.
Smith é autora de livros que a Quetzal tem vindo a publicar: Apenas Miúdos, em 2011, e M Train, em 2016. Recebeu, em 2005, a mais alta distinção da República Francesa no campo das artes, Commandeur des Arts et des Lettres. Em 2007, passou a integrar o Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Patti Smith casou-se com o já desaparecido Fred Sonic Smith, em Detroit, em 1980. Tiveram um filho, Jackson, e uma filha, Jesse. Patti Smith vive atualmente em Nova Iorque.
